Trombonist Justin Thurgur with Chris Philips on The Blueprint

Justin Thurgur is a busy musician with a background stretching from folk music to Afro-Funk. He also runs a label called Funkiwala with long time music partner Kishon Khan tapping into a collective of like-minded musicians to produce a potent and attractive fusion of genres. Ahead of a mini tour of the UK the pair joined Chris Philips on the Blueprint to talk about Justin's debut as a leader 'No Confusion' laced with Afro-Funk influences and a reflection of his time working with Fela Kuti alumni Tony Allen and Dele Sosimi.
