Another step closer to global sharing of accessible literature.

The Marrakesh Treaty has been years in the planning. Its aim is to overcome copyright issues and allow all types of literature to be shared, across the world, in accessible formats. This will make a huge difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people, who in many countries, struggle to get books and information in formats like Braille, large print and audio. Recently, the European Court of Justice ruled that the treaty can be ratified by the EU Parliament, on behalf of its member countries.
