2/13/17: MD Eastern Shore vs Bethune Cookman Men's Basketball

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore found itself in a familiar spot on Monday night at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center, trailing Bethune-Cookman by double digits with less than 10 minutes remaining.

But just like in Daytona Beach, Florida, last month, the Hawks (9-17, 6-5 MEAC) weren’t finished. Eastern Shore used a 16-5 run over the final 5:25 to erase the lead and send the game to overtime.

Bakari Copeland (Decatur, Georgia) had the game-tying layup that sent the game to an extra period, 74-74 and then sank the decisive free throws at the end of OT to give The Shore an 82-81 win.
