The Brexit Bill and a rejected amendment that could have clarified things for the Irish in Britain
Last Wednesday the so called Brexit Bill was passed in the House of Commons as part of the process of Britain withdrawing from the European Union. An amendment was put forward by the Labour Party as part of that bill that would have seen the rights of EU and Irish citizens currently living in Britain protected - however this was rejected.
But what those that even mean? We speak to Dr Neil Dooley, lecturer of Politics at the University of Sussex to explore this development and its ramifications on Irish people living in Britain as well as on the island of Ireland itself.
