Reimagined by Acoustic Mirror (Kamen Nedev).

"I chose this recording for two reasons. One of them is that it is not a recording of a familiar Muslim call to prayer, but an actual Qu'ranic recitation. The other reason is that, reflecting on the whole Sacred Spaces project, I've realised that I tend to associate religious spaces with voice, and voice resonating and reverberating in space. This also determined my approach to re-imagining the piece - by channelling the sound through an actual echo chamber (really, in a past life, an old construction silo), and playing with the reverberation, echoes, harmonics, feedback and occasional incidental sounds that emerged from this improvised setup."
