Part of the Sacred Spaces project - find out more at http://www.citiesandmemory.com/sacredspaces
Recorded by Veronica Salinas.
"These sounds are taken from the matachines dancers, a blend of Spanish and indigenous dancing that takes place to recognize Immaculate Conception Feast Day. Traditionally the dancing and drumming takes place outdoors but due to the weather the performers were granted use of the mission chapel."
