At the weekend Sinn Fein called on the DUP's Economy Minister Simon Hamilton to release the names of the participants of the scheme. He repeated that call on our show yesterday. But the Minister has so far said he has not been able to provide a geographical breakdown of applications to the scheme across Northern Ireland. The Irish News asked last week and were told the minister "does not hold a geographical breakdown of applications by district council area". We asked his department on Friday if we could get a geographical breakdown by district council AND we also asked if we could have a geographical breakdown by postal areas. The department confirmed they received our request but we still have not had any answer as yet.
