Saxophonist Camilla George joined Chris Philips on The Blueprint

Saxophonist Camilla George releases her debut album as band leader 'Isang' right at the outset of 2017. Brought throught the acclaimed Jazz Warriors programme and a member of both Jazz Jamaica and Courtney Pine's Venus Warriors she has a bright and melodic outlook drawing rhythmical influence from her African heritage, the Caribbean and a nod to the American Songbook. Ahead of her album launch at London's Pizza Express on Wednesday 11th January she spoke with Chris Philips on Saturday's Blueprint show and played a selection from the new CD.
