Brian Hayes on R2 Breakfast

With Derek Jameson moving from Radio 2's breakfast show to a new late-night show co-presented with his wife Ellen, it was Brian Hayes who took over what was still a news-driven show. This is the opening of the first show on Monday 6 January 1992. There are some jingles I'd forgotten about: the re-arranged news jingle and the accapella weather jingle. A year later Brian was replaced by the returning Terry Wogan, though he continued to present on the station until 2006.
