Older people in #Derby have told Capital they'd feel lonely if they didn't have a centre to hang out with their mates.

A group of older men and women meet up at the British Legion in Mickleover every week but stats show 3 million over sixties in the UK don't see friends and feel alone.

A charity wants people to remember that not all older neighbours and relatives have friends, they want more of us to help them avoid loneliness by shopping for them or having them over for Christmas lunch.
