As horror and unimaginable terror confronts civilians in Aleppo trapped and unable to leave because of Assad regime/Russian aerial bombardment and intense fighting for the last main stronghold held by Syrian rebel groups.

Last night in Dublin as thousands of pre Christmas shoppers headed for home the Irish Syria Solidarity Movement held an event at the "Amnesty Flame" on Memorial Road to remember the thousands of Syrians arrested and tortured by the Assad regime and other groups.

Among those especially remembered were the Douma 4 - Razan Zaitouneh, Wael Hamada, Samira Khalil, and Nazam Hadadi a group of leading Syrian human rights activists abducted 3 years ago and still missing.

Anne Daly went along and met some of those who attended.
