The Great 1000 Books Challenge

The Devonport City Council, Linc (library) and East Devonport Child and Family Centre are challenging like-minded organisations to see who is first to read 1000 books to their children. The challenge, which was launched today, stemmed from the visit in June of acclaimed children's author Mem Fox. The visit also had an impact on the author, who, in exciting news for the North-West Coast, has chosen Devonport to launch her new book, Ducks Away.
