PRESS CONFERENCE: Tour de Yorkshire 2017 route details revealed by Sir Gary Verity

The Tour de France will return to Yorkshire, not if but when - says ASO’s Tour de France Director Christian Prudhomme. He promised to bring the race back to the county as the Tour de Yorkshire 2017 routes were revealed at a press conference hosted by his pal Welcome to Yorkshire Chief Executive Sir Gary Verity at the Impressions Gallery, Bradford on Friday, December 2, 2016. Here they both address the event, along with guests including Yorkshire cycling legend Malcolm Elliott and Kathryn Smith, of the Tour de Yorkshire's 2017 chosen charity The Alzheimer's Society. Bradford, Bridlington, Fox Valley (Sheffield), Harrogate, Scarborough and Tadcaster had already been announced as start/finish locations for the men’s race - which takes place between April 28-30, 2017 - and here full details asre revealed on exactly where each stage will go, including information of stage lengths, profiles, severities and key sections etc. As well as that, the route for the 2017 Asda Tour de Yorkshire women’s race on Saturday, April 29, was also confirmed along with details on the Maserati Tour de Yorkshire Ride sportive.
