Disability is no barrier for partially sighted law student

Diagnosed at 13 with the genetic degenerative condition, retinitis pigmentosa (RP), Ruby Blyth-Smith's dreams of becomming a hairdresser were shattered, leaving her battling against both isolation and depression.

Despite the huge set-back, Ruby refused to be defeated by her condition and recently beginning a law degree at the University of Essex.
