Precious metals are right in the middle. Inflation figures in US saved the day for doves and hence the precious metals pack strengthened yesterday.

Year to date – Gold and nickel have overtaken palladium compared to this time last week

Mining leaders /Laggards: Rio Tinto was among top laggards. The sell-off was largely due to City Bank coming up with a sell rating on the stock. Hindustan Zinc was another major laggard.
