Co. Antrim man attacked for defending homeless person

A County Antrim man has been attacked in Belfast after stepping in to stop a homeless man being abused in the street. Gary McKendry, who's from Broughshane, was hit in the mouth in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Botanic Avenue in Belfast. He's been left with a badly bruised mouth, loose teeth and stitches.
