Concerned about fluid Security Sitiuation, UNMISS appeals for cessation of Hostilities
Pockets of violence in some parts of the country remain troubling for the UN mission in South Sudan, Yasmina Bouziane, the Principal Public Information officer has said.
The Mission is urging commanders on both sides to exercise control and restraint over their troops, return to the neutral positions, and respect the ceasefire agreement and cease hostilities.
Speaking to Radio Miraya Reporter, David Lukan, Yasmina said that the reports are alarming and the mission reminds all parties that attacks against Civilians and non combatants constitute a great violation of international Law and could be regarded as war crimes and crimes against humanity.
