Timo Kiander lives in Finland. Timo got his start in IT, where he worked for 15 years and faced the struggles of the cubicle life. Timo’s life changed after he began running and worked up to running a marathon. This lit the fire under his desire to take his physical performance to a new level. About the same time, he read “Getting Things Done” by David Allen and the focus on productivity was interesting to him. So, he began a blog to focus on productivity and he has grown it into his own brand. He eventually was the beneficiary of a layoff from his regular job, which allowed him to fully focus on his passion.

Timo also talks about the following:

How the domino effect changed him
Why Timo was fortunate enough to be laid off
Why a week of intentional poverty each year can help you
How Timo bridged the gap financially when he went full time at his passion
The importance of learning and growing
Even an expert has a day that doesn’t go according to plan
The most beneficial thing you can do to live the life you want
Why goal setting should be done top to bottom
The benefits of focusing on one thing at a time
The impact on productivity of focusing on just one thing
The role of your morning routine in productivity
What a personal development hour is
How to make sure there is time for everything
How hyper-productivity can backfire and lead to burn out
Ways that writing can be an advantage to a non-English speaker
