Phony Calm in the markets, stock picks – Horizon, Smart Metering Systems

Commodities are likely to be the main driver of the market in the short-term, says Alan Green, COE of Brand Communications while explain the current market scenario on today’s opening segment of the London open show. He is joined by Tip TV’s ZaK Mir.

Green says both the BOJ and the Fed are likely to stand pat and adds that the current calm in the markets is ‘phony’. Fed is unlikely to raise rates tomorrow and that is supporting the stock markets today, says Mir.

When quipped about the action in the markets, Green responds by saying the range bound action makes markets more vulnerable to surprise from BOJ and/or Fed. Mir and Green also discuss most popular stories in business and finance, Oanda sentiment.
