The head of the TUC has accused some firms of sexism for making female employees wear make-up or high-heeled shoes. The issue will be debated by delegates at the annual congress of unions. The motion was inspired by the well-publicised experience earlier this year of a temporary worker who was sent home for not wearing high heels.
