As religious leaders including the former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr. Rowan Williams call on the government to do more for Syrian refugees, Darren Adam says Britain should be taking the lead in helping them.

One tweeter disagreed, arguing that if Saudi Arabia and other Arab states don't want to help refugees, then we shouldn't either.

Darren replied that "Saudi Arabia is a horrible, bestial, thuggish theocracy, and we are better than it", and that this is our chance "to show that we're better than Saudi Arabia".
