The Lakers defeat the Cardinals 8-5 in 13 innings in Hutchinson to advance to the Class C Sweet 16. Paul Herman singled in Scott Janson with the winning run, and Rick Schlieman and Brad Meyer also drove in runs in the inning as the Lakers broke a 5-5 tie to win the longest game of the 2016 State Tournament.
