Syria Government Permits Rebels to Evacuate Daraya

Syrian government forces and rebel troops arrived at an agreement this week for the latter to evacuate the besieged city of Daraya, along with thousands of trapped civilians.

The deal will allow 700 fighters to relocate to rebel-held Idlib, while 4,000 local residents will be transferred to government camps, says the BBC, citing Syrian state media. The evacuation is reportedly set to begin on Friday.
