UNMISS scales up patrols to ensure safety and protection of civillians
The UN Mission, UNMISS continues to conduct regular patrols to extend protection activities beyond protection of civilian sites, to build confidence and encourage the voluntary return of people to their homes.
Acting UNMISS spokesperson Shantal Persaud says UNMISS peacekeepers are engaged in both long and short distance patrols in Juba and other locations, identified as ‘hot spot areas.’
