Moorgate reimagined by Martin A. Smith.

"This piece is about the transportative power of music and the ability of sound to evoke memories. Daydreaming on the tube the evocative sound of the accordion provokes memories of Provence in deepest Summer. The train recordings are of the Northern Line and the cigales and church bells were recorded in the forests above St. Remy de Provence and Tarascon in the South of France."

Part of our project The Next Station, reimagining the sounds of the London Underground and creating the first ever tube sound map. August 2016 - for more information see www.citiesandmemory.com/thenextstation
