Aviemore athlete David Smith’s been opening up to MFR News about his ongoing rehabilitation following lifesaving surgery to remove a tumour on his spine. The Paralympian was warned that a recurring tumour on his spine would crush his spinal cord and stop him from breathing, if he didn't have the mass surgically removed. But now the London 2012 medallist has been told there is a chance the growth could come back – and supporters of the athlete have helped set up some online fundraising pages to help support his hospital rehab treatment which costs around £2,000 a week:
