Southeast get on top of Pacific Northwest early but can't hang on in 5-4 loss.

Southeast built an early edge on Tuesday, but Pacific Northwest roared back to steal a 5-4 victory at Cal Sr. Yard.

Pacific Northwest took the lead in the seventh inning on an error.

Pacific Northwest was led by Connor Mendez's hitting. Mendez went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Cash Hailey looked sharp on the rubber. Hailey held Southeast hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out six.

Despite the loss, Southeast's Josh Kuss dominated Pacific Northwest's batters, giving up three runs and striking out six.

Cade Hitson was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

In the top of the first, Pacific Northwest grabbed the early lead, 2-0. A double by Myles Mayovsky, scoring Trevor Ridley and Simeon Howard started the inning off.

Southeast scored two runs of its own in the first. Southeast scored on a two-run home run by Kyto Morrow.

Pacific Northwest never trailed after scoring one run in the seventh on an error.
