"" this piece features the source recording as a distant background. i’ll admit, i got a bit stuck making a piece from this recording; field recordings are usually something i enjoy making and listening to, and not much more.

the conversation in the recording intrigued me; the sense of confusion from the non- speaking person. thinking along this line of confusion, or perhaps isolation, in a large city, i imported the reaper analysis file of the source recording into audacity as raw data. the noise texture that results was then heavily processed as an improvisation in ppooll. the source recording is in there, but deep down. a faint flicker of timbre."
