Kitiara Pascoe was a reluctant sailor, thinking the sea a cold and forbidding place. Nonetheless she is coming to the end of a two-year journey around the Atlantic, during which she has endured storms, hacked through jungles, watched men brutally thrown by bulls and drunk quite a lot of pisco with raw egg white and sugar.
