How far should arts funding be protected from cutbacks? #BBCNolan

It's been revealed that the Arts Council of Northern Ireland (ACNI) has had its budget for 2016-17 reduced by almost £500,000. The cutback was confirmed by the Department for Communities in response to a query from the BBC. It's been criticised as short sighted. But the Department says all public bodies are facing funding challenges.
