Top leaders in South Sudan promise to investigate City Gunfire
President Salva Kiir, backed by his First Vice President, Riek Machar and the Second Vice President Wani Igga, have called for calm in Juba, after heavy gunfire rocked the city on Friday evening.
Heavy gunfire erupted outside the President's compound just as the three leaders prepared to address the nation on the latest fighting in the capital, Juba, that has sent a fresh wave of panic among the citizens.
The three leaders said they did not know the cause of the gunfire, but stood firm assuring the citizens of their commitment to investigate the two shooting incidents.
