The founder of the text crisis service Mikeysline has been speaking out about rising rates of depression in the North.

Founder Ron Williamson claims the Highlands has one of the highest rates in Scotland, but says his service is proving to be a helpful form of communication for young people in the area struggling to cope.

Ron Williamson launched the line last year following the death of his nephew Michael, who died just days after his friend Martin Shaw in Inverness:
