Brock Turner May Only Serve Half of Sentence

The former Stanford student convicted of sexually assaulting a woman at a party last year will likely serve half of his six-month sentence.

Santa Clara County Department of Corrections officials say Brock Turner is scheduled to be released from jail on Sept. 2, which is three months after he was admitted, according to a Washington Post report. Inmates typically serve half their jail sentences barring disciplinary problems, according to a Santa Clara County Sheriff’s office official.
