Do you give your children pocket money or do they have to earn it?

Dragons Den entrepreneur Sarah Willingham says we should pay children to work instead rather than just handing them money. She says "There are all sorts of ways kids can earn their pocket money, from washing the car to walking dogs - but the point IS that pocket money should be earned not expected".

So do you make your kids work for their pocket money or does it do any harm to just hand it over?
