No women allowed! – golf club under gender controversy

Rory McIlroy has entered the row over women golfers being banned from Muirfield golf club. The Irish sports star is leading calls urging Muirfield to "see sense" after the club voted not to change its rules and allow women members.

Governing body the R&A responded with its ban on Muirfield hosting The Open until the club changed its rules.

Was that the right response? Or should golf clubs be allowed to choose who they take as members?
