On Tuesday 24 May the best and brightest of Europe's innovators will be converging on The Square in downtown Brussels, which will be play host to the first ever ‘Makerstown’ event. This will see up to 50 young start-up entrepreneurs, or "makers" showcasing the latest, most innovative and ingenious inventions, from the areas of 3D printing, technology, manufacturing, fashion, and vehicles. There will also be panel discussions including EU Commissioners, MEPs and Business and Start up experts, debating the challenges and solutions concerning innovators in today's EU. Here Owen Stafford speaks with Ioana Lung of the Wilfred Martens Centre, who along with youth lobby organisation Think Young are co-organising the Makerstown event. www.makerstown.eu
