Police Search for Sinead O'Connor

Police in Wilmette, Ill. are searching for singer Sinead O'Connor, who has been missing since Sunday morning, to check on her well-being.

A concerned person called the police to say the Irish singer had not been seen since she left for a bike ride at 6 a.m. Sunday. Wilmette police said in a statement that they would do a well-being check, the AP reports.

Authorities said they did not know why O'Connor was in the suburb about 15 miles north of Chicago.
