The actor Sally Phillips, whose 11-year-old son has Down's syndrome, has voiced concerns over the ethical stance behind DNA screening for the condition. The NHS may introduce a new non-invasive test that could reduce the number of miscarriages from the present down's syndrome tests. But there are moral concerns. Sally Phillips, who is most famous for staring in Bridget Jones Diary, told the BBC's Today programme "As a parent of someone with Down's syndrome I just find this arms race for new technologies terribly upsetting,".
