John Fox was one of the leaders of the Irish Volunteers in Derry who was interned after the Rising. A lifelong Republican, he was presented to Eamon de Valera when he visited Derry as Taoiseach in 1951. Freya McClements has been hearing all about him from his grandson Cathal Fox.
