Statement on Culpable Homicide ruling in the Bailey Gwynne trial

It took the jury just an hour and forty minutes to decide a teenager who stabbed a class mate to death in an Aberdeen school is guilty of culpable homicide.
Bailey Gwynne died after being stabbed at Cults Academy last October.
The 16-year-old accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied murder.
Detective Superintendent Dave Mclaren gave this statement after the verdict was made.
