CODA says the retention and expansion of the airport is a key element of the North West's infrastructure and it sayS it contributes around £7m to the local economy. Derry and Strabane Independent Councillor Paul Gallagher has called for it to be sold as he claims it's too big a burden. The council's given the airport a budget of £3,445,000 this year.
