Margaret Juntwait - Live from the Met

For the best part of a decade radio announcer Margaret Juntwait would introduce the worldwide opera broadcasts 'Live from the Met'. A former singer she joined station WNYC in 1990 after sending a letter to presenter John Schaefer. In 2001 she was asked to deputise for Peter Allen, the regular presenter of Live from the Met. When he retired in 2004 she took his duties. She joined SiriusXM as a full-time employee in 2006. Her final broadcast was in December 2014. Margaret died the following June aged just 58.
