Now, let's rewind the clock to the 1940s when GI soldiers came to these shores during World War Two. They certainly caused a bit of stir and they were even given a guide on the dos and don't of life in Northern Ireland. The BBC has launched a new website on the GIs time here and Teresa Craig has been speaking to Mona Lestrade, a GI bride who moved from Derry to Louisiana back in 1946.
