Does it matter to you what you get your food serve on when dining in a restaurant? The growing trend it would seem is anything but plates. Whether its wooden boards, slates and even buckets. And it would seem that drinks haven't escaped the treatment with cocktails now regualry being served in jam jars. Renowned restaurant critic Jay Rayner has been writing about it on his blog describing his dismay at being served chips in mini-chip pan fryers, bread served in flat caps or slippers and even small versions of a household galvanised dustbin.
