'The cart is before the horse' Brian Rowan on dealing with the past

Arlene Foster has warned there will be no quick resolution on dealing with N Ireland's troubled past. Speaking in her first Question Time in Stormont as First Minister, Mrs Foster said there would be no progress on legacy issues before the Assembly elections in May. Meanwhile, a senior police commander has warned that outstanding inquests for contentious Troubles killings could take decades unless radical changes are made to the current legal process.

So the big question this morning is, can our politicians deliver a way forward for victims of the troubles and their families? Or is this too difficult an issue for society, never mind our politicians?
