I always remember when Hirsty was told she was to host the coveted Pepsi Chart show: 'I sat on t'hill near Barnsley and cried'. The remark summed her up. Talented, lovable and humble.

Her life story will surely make a book. From anorak to one of the best known names in commercial radio; and a few surprises along the way, which she has handled as stylishly as she now looks.
