Orangemen say NO to Irish Language Act #BBCNolan
It's one of the big stalemates at Stormont. Sinn Fein want an Irish language act, to promote and protect the language. The DUP says no. The Orange Order has weighed into the debate, in a public consultation over proposed legislation. A submission from Fermanagh Grand Orange Lodge claims there's a stronger case to give the Polish language official status. It also says using Irish language in public bodies would cost too much.
