Legendary keyboard player Lonnie Liston Smith spoke to Chris Philips about 40 years of 'Expansions'

Lonnie Liston Smith played a rare date with his young band at The Brooklyn Bowl in London on Friday November 20th on a fantastic nostalgic night with DJs Greg Edwards, Jeff Young, JM, Chris Philips and Gilles Peterson. The event marked the 40th anniversary of his album, and song, 'Expansions'. Before the gig Lonnie came to Jazz FM to talk with Chris Philips about his thematic messages of peace, love and unity and the anatomy of 'Expansions' in particular.
