Tory Minister says sorry after suggesting poor people should scrap their Sky TV

A Conservative Minister has apologised after suggesting poor people could cancel pay TV packages to make ends meet. Sports Minister Tracey Crouch was accused of insulting people after saying she comes across families who still have expensive pay-TV deals despite 'struggling' financially. She later said she was 'sorry for giving the impression of a lack of understanding of the financial pressures many families face'. Should she have apologised? Did she have a point?
