Row after singing of 'God Save the Queen' breaks out at Stormont remembrance service #BBCNolan
Another day, another remembrance row. Assembly members held a service for Armistice Day yesterday. But there was controversy after a TUV press officer began singing the national anthem at the end. Other unionists joined in. Sinn Fein denounced the singing as a 'childish stunt'. The national anthem was not on the event's order of service. The DUP and UUP say that should change next year. Ulster Unionist Party leader Mike Nesbitt approached Martin McGuinness afterwards and said he was sorry for what he called a "stunt". The TUV press officer who started the singing was Sammy Morrison. He joined Stephen this morning and we also got the views of SDLP MLA Alban Maginness and political blogger Colm Dore
